LEARN MORE ABOUT: High-Definition Lower Body Lift™ , Upper Body Lift
PATIENT AGE: 45
DATE OF SURGERY: 07/10/2026
SURGEON: Dr. Siamak Agha MD, PhD, FACS
So we are now finished with the back part of our surgery. Today, I did a bra line upper body lift and a buttock lift with buttock enhancement. Our patient obviously had a wider apron, and in the process of lifting her buttocks and outer thighs, I tried to create more of an hourglass look. We also augmented her buttocks, as we normally do, and we shaped them and created width for her. And normally, I don't do a bra line upper body lift at the same time, but her rolls were really affecting the position of the buttock lift incision. And in order to place the buttock lift incision correctly, I had to obviously remove a significant amount of the skin laxity of the mid-back, tighten that first, and then perform the buttock lift so that both of them are positioned correctly and anatomically.
So guys, we are now finished with our surgery and just look at the immense, tremendous change that we've been able to achieve for our patient. Our patient today had a lower body lift with a bra line upper body lift, and neither of those procedures were difficult, but we had a significant amount of horizontal abdominal skin excess and laxity. And typically for those patients, most people end up doing a Floridalis incision. That's an inverted T incision that starts up here and comes all the way down here and then goes this way. I am not a fan of Floridalis incisions because you will get a very visible scar for the rest of your life. And if you are in a bikini, everybody will know that you have had a Floridalis abdominoplasty. So even though we had discussed this with our patient, I promised her that I would do everything I can in order to avoid placing a Floridalis incision and performing an extended tummy tuck without it. And fortunately, we were able to achieve that goal. And the way we did that is obviously by putting a lot of internal sutures and trying to advance her tissue inwards in order to avoid placing a visible vertical incision on her tummy. We also performed a pubic lift, thigh front lift, outer thigh lift, and this is the extension of her bra line upper body lift on the front and liposuction of the flanks. So a lot has gone into this surgery. I wish I could have liposuctioned her more, but I think we have kind of reached our limit of what's safe for our patient, given the fact that the amount of tissue that we removed was significant and given the fact that we want to do the surgeries with as least possibility of complications as possible.
