If you’re seeking a safe, natural, and long-lasting solution to restore youthfulness and/or enhance your facial features, Face Fat Transfer is the answer. Our experienced team of board-certified plastic surgeons specializes in this innovative procedure, harnessing the art and science of facial aesthetics to achieve stunning, natural-looking, and personalized results.

Face Fat Transfer is a groundbreaking cosmetic procedure that exemplifies the synergy between artistry and science in plastic surgery. Also known as fat grafting or fat injection, this technique offers a natural and effective way to restore lost facial volume, enhance contours, and achieve a more youthful appearance. Unlike synthetic fillers, which have a limited duration, Facial Fat Transfer utilizes your own adipose tissue to create enduring results that seamlessly integrate with your own facial soft tissues.
The procedure begins with a gentle liposuction technique, where we carefully extract excess fat from areas of your body, such as the abdomen or thighs. The harvested fat is then purified to isolate the healthiest and most viable cells before being meticulously injected into specific areas of your face that require rejuvenation. This approach allows us to tailor the treatment precisely to your needs, resulting in a revitalized, natural, and long-lasting outcome.

Face Fat Grafting is a highly versatile procedure, offering a comprehensive solution to address various facial concerns. Our board-certified plastic surgeons have extensive expertise in enhancing the following facial regions:
By restoring volume to the cheeks, we can create youthful contours and a more lifted appearance, softening the effects of age-related volume loss.
Hollows and dark circles under the eyes can be visibly improved, making you look more refreshed and well-rested.
Whether you desire subtle enhancement or more noticeable volume, Fat Transfer can beautifully augment the lips for a natural and attractive pout.
Volume loss in the temples can cause a sunken appearance, which can be rejuvenated through Fat Grafting, leading to a more harmonious facial balance.
Deep creases that run from the nose to the mouth can be softened, reducing the appearance of aging and creating a smoother complexion.
Enhancing the jawline can improve facial symmetry and definition, accentuating your natural beauty.
The lines that extend from the corners of the mouth to the chin can be softened, imparting a more youthful and relaxed look.

Facial Fat Transfer yields remarkable results that are both natural and long-lasting. By using your body’s own tissue, this procedure offers numerous benefits and can address multiple concerns:

Dr. Agha’s technique uses fat from the body to enhance facial appearance. This approach has several advantages, making it a cost-effective, natural, and permanent alternative to synthetic fillers. While fat grafting initially had limitations, recent advancements and Dr. Agha's techniques have transformed it into a great option for rejuvenating and contouring the face.
Certain areas with surplus fat, such as the abdomen and thighs, are selected as donor sites. These regions are rich in fat cells enhancing the survival rate of the transferred fat.
Using a gentle approach, fat is extracted using a syringe, often through small incisions. The harvested fat is mixed with a special solution for easier handling and processing.
Anesthesia for harvest of fat grafts can be performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with or without intravenous sedation.
The tumescent solution used for donor site analgesia or hemostasis should contain the lowest concentration of lidocaine possible because its high concentration may have detrimental effect on the adipocyte function and viability.
A crucial step involves processing the harvested fat. Dr. Agha prefers centrifugation, a technique that concentrates viable fat cells and essential growth factors. This increases the chances of the fat grafts surviving and thriving in their new location.
Unlike other areas of the body, the face typically does not require pre-expansion. Local anesthesia is used along with vasoconstrictors to minimize swelling and complications, ensuring a safe and successful procedure.
The key to achieving satisfying results lies in evenly distributing the fat grafts within the recipient site. This promotes graft survival by allowing contact with surrounding tissues, promoting absorption of essential nutrients and fluids and formation of new blood vessels over time.
After the procedure, patients can expect some swelling, which is a normal part of the recovery process. Overcorrection is avoided to prevent complications. Dr. Agha’s technique prioritizes balanced outcomes and natural-looking results.

Here’s what you can expect during recovery:
Minimal Downtime: Facial Fat Transfer is a minimally invasive procedure with almost no skin incisions, and many patients can resume light daily activities within a few days.
Swelling and Bruising: Some swelling and bruising are normal after the procedure, but they typically subside over the following weeks.
Pain: Discomfort is generally mild and can be managed effectively with prescribed pain medications, although many patients find over-the-counter pain relievers sufficient.
Avoiding Pressure: To ensure the best results, gentle care should be taken to avoid applying any pressure to the treated areas during the initial healing phase.
Tape: If you have tape on your face, do not remove it.
DO NOT apply ice to the treated areas since ice can kill fat cells.
