Patient Details
This patient in her mid-60s visited Dr. Siamak Agha at The Aesthetic Centers in Newport Beach to address excess arm and facial skin following major weight changes and natural aging. She wanted her upper arms to appear smoother and more refined, in harmony with the rejuvenated look planned for her face and neck.
As part of her comprehensive transformation, Dr. Agha performed an extended L-brachioplasty along with a facelift and neck lift. The L-brachioplasty was specifically designed to remove excess upper-arm skin and tighten the tissue that extends into the underarm and lateral chest—areas commonly left untreated in a standard arm lift. To further refine the contour, approximately 20 cc of fat was removed from each elbow, creating a more tapered, balanced transition from arm to forearm. By placing the incision along the natural inner-arm line and closing the tissue in layered fashion, Dr. Agha optimized both contour and scar healing.
Her postoperative results show firmer, lighter, and more sculpted arms that now align proportionally with her shoulders and upper torso. Clothing fits more smoothly, and her silhouette appears rejuvenated from both the front and profile views.
This case highlights how Dr. Agha’s extended arm lift technique, paired with thoughtful contour refinement, can restore harmony, comfort, and confidence for patients experiencing post-weight-loss skin laxity.
